coast to coast training ride part 3

Jackrabbitt coast to coast training ride part 3

Sorry for the delay but hear is the 3rd instalment of our training program. As the first two rides we met at the turf for the mystical time of 7:30.

so with every one ready we set of from the turf with an idea of where we were going straight through town to cause as much anarchy as possible. Heading to the 5 road ends area of currock and upperby. From hear we pushed on up the steady incline of upperby road then on to brisco road. once we reached the city limits we pushed on out of town and on to the long slog of a hill that takes you to the village of wreay. A quick rest was needed hear due to the hill we had just climbed from wreay we headed for the A6 once there we turned right for a short section on the A6 we then took the first left turn for cotehill. In cotehill a pit stop was made at the local pub (if we are not to carful the pub pit stop will become a bit of a tradition) after suitable refreshments of coke, larger and water we set off again on our journey towards cumwhinton. From cumwhinton we pushed on for the sunny city of Carlisle along cumwhinton road and on to London road then back in to the centre of town from where we went our separate ways.

This ride was an epic due to the amount and gradient of the hills but this is the kind of ride we need to get us pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. This was also the first outing of the DMR single speed kit on the P2 single speed power.

Part 4 coming soon
